After literally centuries of Christless generations, Ayorou has it's first Christian! On Friday night, Yacouba Abduli asked Christ to change his heart and change his life. Ayorou has been a center of Muslim and pagan worship for as long as it has existed. Generation after generation has never heard of Christ and His gospel and have followed the ways of their fathers. Now, Yacouba has begun a new generation of Christ followers.

Please pray for Abduli (his dad). So far, he has not been opposed to Yacouba's interaction with us in Ayorou. We will see how much he supports his son at Yacouba's baptism. We are thankful for your many prayers for Abduli and Yacouba. Abduli could, if he wanted, completely disown his son and the family and community would understand.

Pray for Yacouba as he will undoubtedly come under attack from family, friends, and the enemy. Pray for his strength and perseverance. Pray that he'll be a light in a still very dark place.

Yacouba's open heart to the Gospel and Abduli's understanding can only be attributed to God and your prayers. Please know that you are a vital part of the work in Ayorou and in the lives of those you pray for. This is only the beginning ....
